Pharmacy Residency Programs
Advancing pharmacy practice through residency programs
As a steward of the advancement of pharmacy practice, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) proudly supports several Pharmacy Residency Programs. These postgraduate training programs are focused on advancing skills in direct patient care, patient care service development, practice management and operational excellence. Residents will learn to demonstrate professional leadership and to develop lifelong learning and self-assessment skills. These skill sets can then be applied in future practice settings and professional endeavors.
With over 40 years experience and over 500 client facilities in 47 states, including Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, CPS is the nation’s leading independent pharmacy services provider, employing over 2,000 pharmacy professionals. CPS assists hospitals & health systems with a range of pharmacy issues, including pharmacy management, financial performance, clinical competency, regulatory compliance, and remote order entry.
Each CPS-supported, ASHP-accredited residency program is administered at the individual health system. In addition to the on-site preceptors, CPS corporate team members support residency efforts through participating as preceptors, assisting with resources and providing travel allotment. CPS is extremely supportive of residency training, as it ensures growth beyond entry-level professional clinical and operational competence, development of leadership skills, and a better workforce.
